Role and Responsibilities:

  • Must have at least 5 years of Azure cloud administration and design knowledge
  • Good knowledge of Azure concepts like Azure AD, Resource Groups, Virtual Machines, Containers, Virtual Networks, Storage, Vnet Gateway, Site to Site VPN, Availability Sets, Recovery Services Vaults, Load Balancers, NSG, Azure Security Center, Azure PowerShell, Express Route, Azure Monitor, Azure Advisor, Azure DNS, App Services, Policy, Blueprint, Automation Account, Log Analytics Workspace etc.
  • Creating budgeting alerts, purchasing reservations / savings plan, tagging, anomaly detection and forecasting spend.
  • Good experience in RI Reservation, rightsizing & Savings plan of computer services.
  • Monitoring cloud usage and spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize cloud costs
  • Collaborating with operations team and technology teams to drive cost optimization initiatives
  • Analyzing cloud usage patterns and trends to identify areas for optimization
  • Recommending changes to cloud service usage, pricing models, and purchasing options
  • Developing and maintaining Anomaly models to forecast and track cloud costs
  • Collaborating with Engineering team to finetune reports and dashboards and communicate cloud cost optimization efforts to stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills for interfacing with customers and internal stakeholders.
