Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The Person will be responsible for managing tax accounting for our international regions, including calculating deferred tax and current tax at both consolidation and legal entity levels.


The ideal candidate must possess expert knowledge of relevant accounting standards and demonstrate proficiency in preparing GAAP adjustment entries across different accounting standards. The candidate will also be required to support in the International Consolidation process as per USGAAP.


This role will involve preparing detailed notes to accounts at consolidation and legal entity levels, as well as compiling tax Management Information System (MIS) reports for presentation to senior management to facilitate decision-making regarding changes in effective tax rates.


Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage tax accounting for international regions, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Calculate deferred tax and current tax at consolidation level and legal entity level.
  • Prepare GAAP adjustment entries between various accounting standards.
  • Prepare detailed notes to accounts at consolidation and legal entity levels.
  • Compile tax MIS reports and present to senior management for change in effective tax rate analysis.
  • Perform various reconciliations related to tax accounts and financial statements.
  • Provide expert guidance to the finance team on tax numbers and assist in statutory audits.
  • Actively engage with tax controllers to discuss tax computations and ensure accuracy of tax reporting.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations impacting international jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address tax-related inquiries and issues.
  • Preparation of International entities consolidated financial statements.
  • Preparation of variance analysis
  • Preparation of presentation to the Board members

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in international tax accounting or a related field
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations in international jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency in tax accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
