Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering
Expedia Group Growth Marketing technology team is dedicated to building an in-house landing page team which will enable fixing existing and rolling out new landing pages across LOBs and marketing channels. This role will be responsible for building and managing an SEM platforms and also extend them to other channel partners (Google, Bing, FB, YouTube etc.) via their APIs. As a Senior Engineering Manager you will drive the innovation and scale of the automation platform for Growth Marketing technology team. Your mission will be to leverage data, extend our current platform to build new features/self-service tools and build reporting dashboards for our partners. From strategy to technical design, execution and optimization – your role is to deliver a premier suite of products & services that will help operations teams, while creating a working environment where top technical talent will thrive. What you’ll do:
Develop, maintain a long-term vision and technical roadmap for the Automation Platform
Facilitate prioritization of initiatives with product owners and stakeholders, efficiently allocate team resources, and lead the team through fast-paced development cycles
Engage with technology, analytics, and business teams across the organization, fostering collaboration and alignment on solutions
Prototype creative solutions quickly and be able to collaborate with others in crafting and implementing your technical vision
Participate and lead design and architecture reviews, run code reviews, help build robust services, and high-quality data pipelines/products
Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation
Develop a high-performing team of engineers, employing effective practices in training, coaching, and recruiting to nurture and grow top talent
Who you are:
Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or other related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
Strong technical background with 10+ years of relevant experience in technical development and 3+ years of technical leadership role as a Lead/Manager for a major feature or product
Technical skills: Golang, Python or JVM Languages (Java, Kotlin), React and Databases
Proven track record of shipping high quality products in a fast-paced environment and world-class enterprise and/or ecommerce systems
Structured approach to development (measuring, monitoring, and testing) and solving problems at scale (building frameworks etc.)
Experience delivering solutions in the cloud including Amazon AWS and related data technologies, services, and third-party tools
Excellent understanding of development concepts and SDLC methodologies
Strong verbal and written communication skills
