Job Summary:
We are seeking a proficient and experienced Deputy Manager - SQL SSRS Developer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of experience specializing in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL development, and data reporting. As a Deputy Manager, you will be integral in designing, developing, and maintaining robust reporting solutions that drive business insights and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
SSRS Report Development:
Design, develop, and deploy high-quality SSRS reports based on business requirements.
Create and maintain complex, dynamic reports and dashboards that are both accurate and visually compelling.
Optimize report performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and minimal latency.
SQL and Database Management:
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support reporting needs.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy through thorough validation and testing processes.
Manage and maintain database systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and secure.
Data Integration and ETL:
Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
Ensure seamless integration of data into reporting databases.
Maintain data quality and consistency throughout the ETL process.
Data Visualization and Analysis:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytical needs.
Develop data visualizations that provide clear, actionable insights for business users.
Continuously improve report designs based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
Report Automation and Scheduling:
Automate the generation and distribution of reports to streamline workflows.
Schedule recurring reports to ensure timely delivery to stakeholders.
Develop scripts and tools to enhance the automation of reporting processes.
Data Security and Compliance:
Implement best practices for data security to protect sensitive information.
Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and standards.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
Collaboration and Technical Support:
Work closely with database administrators, data analysts, and other IT professionals to support reporting requirements.
Provide technical support and training to end-users and team members.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing any issues.
Continuous Learning and Improvement:
Stay current with the latest advancements in SQL development and SSRS technologies.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
Participate in professional development activities and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4-6 years of professional experience in SQL development and SSRS report generation.
Strong proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL programming.
Extensive experience with SSRS and creating complex reports.
Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
Understanding of data security practices and compliance requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
Experience with other reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Familiarity with cloud-based databases and services.
Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
