Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in instructional design, training delivery, program management, relationship building, and communication training. This role requires someone to be proactive and collaborative, speak English well, and possess outstanding communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and managing learning and development initiatives that align with the organization's goals and objectives, while also focusing on cross-training with on-the-job training frameworks, and communication support for Indian team members communicating with English-first countries.


Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Design:

  • Develop engaging and effective learning materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and other resources.
  • Utilize adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create impactful training solutions.
  • Incorporate multimedia elements and interactive components to enhance learning experiences.

Training Delivery:

  • Facilitate training sessions for employees at all levels, both in-person and virtually.
  • Adapt training delivery methods to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of participants.
  • Provide engaging and interactive learning experiences that promote skill development and knowledge retention.

Program Management:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of learning and development programs, from needs assessment and design to implementation and evaluation.
  • Oversee learning programs, e.g., Learnship, Professional Certifications, Cross Training Skills Development, Communications, etc.
  • Monitor and track the effectiveness of learning initiatives and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Relationship Building:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to identify learning needs and requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal departments to ensure alignment of learning initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and resource for employees seeking professional development opportunities.

Initiative and Collaboration:

  • Take initiative to identify opportunities for enhancing employee skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to brainstorm ideas, solve problems, and deliver high-quality learning solutions.
  • Proactively seek feedback and incorporate suggestions for improvement into learning programs.
  • Ensure all initiatives are within the scope of the Talent Management strategy.

Communication Training and Support for Indian Team Members:

  • Develop communication training programs tailored to the needs of Indian team members communicating with English-first countries.
  • Create training materials focusing on English language proficiency, cultural nuances, and effective communication strategies.
  • Deliver training sessions and provide one-on-one coaching to enhance the English language skills and communication effectiveness of Indian team members.
  • Offer feedback and constructive criticism to help individuals improve their communication abilities and confidence.

Cross Training and On-the-Job Training Framework:

  • Identify opportunities for cross-training among teams to promote knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Develop a framework for on-the-job training that includes guidelines, resources, and best practices.
  • Work closely with department managers and team leads to assess skill gaps and training needs within their respective teams.
  • Monitor the implementation of on-the-job training initiatives and provide guidance and support as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in learning and development, with a focus on instructional design and training delivery.
  • Strong program management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse audiences.
  • Proven track record of developing innovative and engaging learning solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Dynamic coach that elevates performance in others.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs.
