Job Description:

As an AWS Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our organization & applications and services. You will leverage your expertise in data engineering principles and AWS services to design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and reliable data pipelines.


Responsibilities:

Experience in implementing at least 2 end to end Data Engineering projects.

 Develop and maintain data pipelines using Databricks:

o Write ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) scripts using Python, SQL, or other scripting languages.

o Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

o Automate data pipeline deployments and testing.

o Databricks is must to have.

o Working with Databricks offers significant advantages.

 Manage and secure data infrastructure:

o Implement security best practices for data access and storage using IAM roles, encryption, and other AWS security services.

o Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines for performance issues and errors.

o Scale data infrastructure to meet changing business requirements.

 Collaborate with other teams:

o Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to understand data needs and deliver solutions.

o Provide technical expertise and guidance on data-related projects.

o Stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and AWS services.


Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

 5+ years of experience as a data engineer

 Proficient in Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks and scripting languages.

 Experience with AWS services like S3, Glue, EMR, Redshift, Athena, and Lambda,

 Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data quality principles.

 Experience with cloud computing concepts and infrastructure.

 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

 Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

 Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering.

 Experience with data warehousing and data lakes.

 Experience with data visualization tools like AWS Quick Sight or Power BI.


Good to have:

 Data Modeling, Data Security and Compliance, Automation

 AWS Certified Data Analytics or AWS Certified Data Specialty certification

 Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

 Strong communication and teamwork skills.
