Job Description

Description(Purpose and Main Responsibilities):

The Cost Analyst for Internal Costing within GCOE is responsible for technical and economical valuation of concepts and engineering changes of automotive interior, esp. instrument panels, door panels and center consoles, including latest technologies and materials:The IReC Cost Analyst is responsible for settling of all the work packages of the function according to the current version of the program management system (PMS). Among the tasks mentioned in PMS, the Cost Analyst has the following main tasks and responsibilities:

Support analysis of RFQs and calculation requestsReading and interpretation of engineering drawingsValidation of technical and economical feasabilityAnalysing of industrial flowchart proposed by Industrial Strategy in consideration of PMSPreparation of industrial flowcharts followed by validation with Industrial StrategyValuation of production costs for manufacturing based on production volume and assembly following Faurecia Interior Systems principles.Elaboration of costing files for determination of cost and support to Sales departmentSupport the elaboration of pricing files in the relevant OEM templateVerification of offers / purchase prices for Bought out Parts (BoP), their valuation ofmanufacturing and assembly for determination of Target CostIntegration of asset investment, logistic and tooling costs in the costing fileCommunication of costing results to interface functions (Controlling, Program Manager,Purchasing, Sales)Valuation of ECR (Engineering Change Requests) and integration in costing filesRegular actualisation of costing filesTracking and illustration of costing results developmentElaboration of cost comparisons for preparation of Make or Buy decisionsConditioning of costing results for management presentationsRespect the delivery and Quality commitments for the output of work packagesFoster & develop a strong network with the CBUs across the Globe to improve collaboration and communicationOthers

Coordinate and challenge of the assumptions of all relevant and necessaryexperts and interface functions to define the piece costsCollaborate with Tool Cost Analysts, and Faurecia Reference Cost AnalystsBenchmarking of competitor productsValuation of alternative production processes and providing recommendationMaintenance of existing databasesSupport development of costing basic pinciples and software toolsSupport program manager and sales department for preparing customer negotiationsSupport purchasing department for preparing supplier negotiationsRegular data collection of process parameters within the plants serial manfacturing

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have/be:Bachelor’s / Master's degree in Engineering or Diploma, with a specialisation in Automotive ProductionMinimum 6-12 years in an industrial environment including a first technical experience (production, manufacturing engineering,…)Technical products orientedDemonstrated strong communication, analytical and synthesis skillsFluent in 2 languages including englishGerman language proficiency preffered
