Workday HCM Functional Consultant

Job Summary:Our client is seeking a strong Senior Workday Functional Consultnat to assist Workday HCM project post go live and they are adding 3-4 Countries. This individual will work closely with the workstream leads and vendor implementation partner to revamp business processes to support the project. This hands-on technical role demands excellent knowledge of HR business processes and methodologies along with a strong analytical and reporting background.
Responsibilities:Ensure proper requirements are gathered, documented and clearly state the needs of the businessTranslate requirements and processes into realistic, innovative business and system design solutionsEnsure designs are well documented and socialized with technical teams to achieve alignment on approach and future strategyWork closely with all technical teams involved and close gaps quickly to speed up the system development process.Ensure unit testing and integration testing including the documentation of unit test plans and evidence of testing is completedConduct quality assurance testing of application and integrations prior to business testing and provide signoffAssist with the user acceptance testing for major initiatives, small projects and enhancements ensuring that the final solution delivers against business requirements.Serve as the conduit between the internal functional owner community and the software development team(s) through which requirements flow and are designed, built and tested.Keep project manager and other critical members of the team updated on task status and ensure risks and issues are logged and trackedProvide input to project plan and create implementation plans for larger more complex deploymentsProvide post go live / hyper-care support with ability to troubleshoot issues with critical thinking in pressure situations
Qualifications:8+ years of proven HR experience working as a technical lead and experienced systems analyst for major projectsStrong experience with core HR processes and supporting technology platforms6+ years of strong hands-on technical foundation experience with Workday HCM yet primary skill is as a functional analystTime & Attendance, Benefits, Compensation side to strike a balance in the teamTechnical expertise with application development to assist with the design and specification development desiredAbility to analyze and document complex business processesExperience documenting process and system flowcharts in Visio required
