Make It With Pride.In this leadership role, you serve as a senior technical resource for the organization, regularly interacting with other senior managers. You are an internally recognized expert in packaging development and packaging engineering. In this role, you identify, define and solve complex business problems by applying broad technical and consumer knowledge as well as an in-depth understanding of packaging technologies related to Mondelēz products.How you will contribute:In this role, you define and lead material development programs for global cross category team, addressing technical challenges and emerging technology needs across the portfolio. You will offer consumer insights to provide input to programs, define technical strategies and act as gatekeeper for technical rigor on material specifications. As senior member of the global packaging team, you will need to build strong cross functional partnerships with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and Procurement. Additionally, you will drive to ensure a robust intellectual property strategy is in place and collaborate regarding all relevant compliance policies and government regulations. Additionally, you will act as the technical advisor for flexible packaging materials for the Global Packaging Team - leveraging your experience and knowledge of polymer technology, performance, and product/package interaction with the team.What you will bring:A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career by applying your experience and knowledge:Extensive experience in packaging flexible and rigid materials, focus on designing experiments/work tracks to land solutions, grounded in sound data, that meet technical and equipment program requirementsSuccessful track record in project management and implementation of new ideasDemonstrated thought leadership and drive for results, with ability to formulate strategy while planning and problem solving in a dynamic and outcome-oriented environmentAbility to lead multi-functional and multi-cultural project teamsAbility to leverage internal and external resources and working in a highly matrixed environmentAn affinity for innovation and resiliency in the face of challengesStrong technical network, inclusive of suppliers, technology partners, universities, and research institutesExperience in barrier coating systems and polymers is desiredAbility to coach and inspire junior developers in packaging communityStrong influencing capabilities with the ability to effect change internally throughout the MDLZ organization (supply chain, procurement, marketing, R&D) and externally with end-to-end value chain partners from raw material suppliers to recyclers.More about this roleWhat you need to know about this position:This role can be based at our R&D center in either Bournville, Poland or Thane.What extra ingredients you will bring:Extensive years experience, preferably in Packaging and/or CPG industryEducation / Certifications:MS/PhD in Polymer Science, Physical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar disciplineTravel requirements:Limited travelLocation:Open to the following areas: Bourneville - UK / Wroclaw - Poland, Thane - IndiaNo Relocation support availableBusiness Unit Summary
