Data Engineer

We are looking for a lead data engineer cum architect who understands the business needs, explores the existing data structures, and creates a blueprint for building an integrated framework of easily accessible, secure data aligned with Chubb global and regional business strategy.Responsibilities

:Provide strategic direction and play a key role on the leadership team – building the advisory practice and providing thought leadership.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and ensure that data solutions meet their needsDevelop and implement an enterprise data strategy integrating disparate data model across Chubb into unified models while ensuring alignment with business objectives.Shape enterprise data architecture design patterns, design principles and best practices enhancing business solution objectives and deliveryDefine data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and security.Provide strategic direction and leadership to the data architecture team. Lead and mentor other data architects and data engineers in the development of data solutions.Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to improve data management and analytics capabilities.Create an inventory of the data assets, their owners, and consumersDevelop and drive culture of standardizations in data management and tech stackIdentify best possible design to integrate data from various source systems ensuring that non-functional aspects like security, performance, scalability, reliability, and data recovery.Conducting a continuous audit of data management system performance, refine whenever required, and report immediately any breach or loopholes to the stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications

:4-10 years of experience in Data Bricks, Azure Data Bricks , Azure Data Lake , Azure Data Factory , Azure SynapseStrong communication and business/customer facing skillsProficiency in data modeling, database architectureKnowledge of Data Bricks is a mustSkills – Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks , Azure Data Lake , Azure Data Factory , Azure Synapse .Proficiency in scripting languages like Python/SQL .Experience in agile software development methodologies.
