THE OPPORTUNITY
We count on our IT team to work in close alignment with all internal business units to provide excellent IT support and solutions to our global user community. As the Salesforce Developer for Xactly, you will be responsible for working directly with the Business Systems Team to complete development projects. The primary role is to analyze, code, implement and test customized software applications built on Salesforce’s Force.com platform. This includes taking on individual projects that will be assigned to you by the Business Systems Manager. It is critical that this person understands all aspects of Salesforce development including but not limited to Salesforce API, APEX, Visualforce, Lightning, and other tools that extend the product. This person will also work with the integration team to support integrations built in Python and Workato, for cloud apps such as Snowflake, Workday ERP, Jira, and other cloud based systems.
The technology landscape is evolving, and the person in this role participates in technical research and development to enable innovation. They will ensure that best practices are taken around SDLC for Salesforce including proper change management that adheres to the Vision of Xactly. This person may also take on projects and be responsible for all phases, including definition, analysis, design, build, testing and change management. SKILL SET / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
5+ years of experience in the coding of custom developed Salesforce functionality using the Salesforce API, APEX, Visualforce, Lightning, and other tools that extend the product.
5+ years of experience with CPQ development, specifically around dynamic quoting and custom APEX
Understand the importance of leveraging fully the out-of-the-box features of Salesforce so that custom solutions built on top of them can take advantage of updates to those platforms.
Salesforce development experience with Apex and Lightning Web Components
Expertise in Salesforce configuration including Flows and Dynamic Lightning Pages.
Solid understanding of overall Lightning architecture and Salesforce data model.
Experience working with Agile, Kanban or Scrum
Experience building custom solutions on Force.com platform using standard and custom objects, APEX web services, SOQL, SOSL.
Experience with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and Event driven architecture and working with cross-functional engineering teams.
Required Certifications: Administrator, Platform Developer I & II, Platform App Builder I & II
You understand the development life cycle including functional & technical specification, documentation, QA processes, source control (Git / SVN / TFS), maintenance, continuous integration, unit testing and deployment.

Experience integrating with a data warehouse (Snowflake) a plus
Experience with development languages, scripts and frameworks: Python, Java, JavaScript libraries; Background and experience with full stack web development is a plus

High degree of personal integrity and professionalism, and can work effectively with minimal supervision in a collaborative environment
Comfortable working cross-functionally within an organization and completing developmental tasks
RESPONSIBILITIES
Development on the Salesforce platform using the Apex language, Lightning Components/Web Components, and Visualforce.
Develop a working relationship with the assigned Xactly Business Systems team, data analytics team and RevOps team among other stakeholders.
Develop API integrations by calling other external systems from Apex or by building custom Apex REST APIs.
Integrate various platforms using ETL tools like Salesforce Integration Cloud, leveraging Outbound Messages or utilizing Platform Events.
WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL
Develop a working relationship with the Xactly Business Systems team and other stakeholders
Work with the IT team to learn the systems we use and how to create, update and close tickets
Learn the development environment and policies and procedures
Become familiar with the current Salesforce & CPQ configuration and setup; identifying areas for improvement
WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL
Begin to develop and execute a roadmap for improvements and updates to Salesforce & CPQ
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing deployment of tools
Work with the Business Systems team on project planning and scope exercises
Become comfortable with the data structure and be a resource to the data analytics team
WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL
Build, test, and deploy new system functionality
Establish a long term road map and provide guidance on system and data design
Ensure best practices are in place for new and existing system development
Become an expert on Xactly’s Salesforce & CPQ configuration and related tools
