The Sadhana Forest Fellowship in Sustainability and Ecosystem Restoration is a year-long program at Sadhana Forest, Auroville, Tamil Nadu. This is a life-changing opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the natural world and the lives of many people.
This Fellowship will give you hands-on experience in reforestation and sustainable living. You will assist in the daily operations of Sadhana Forest, lead teams of volunteers and educate people about environmental issues.
Responsibilities
Fellows will be involved in:
- Planting trees and implementing water conservation techniques
- Welcoming and educating guests
- Taking care of the animals in our vegan Gaushala (animal sanctuary)
- Facilitating groups of local children in Children's Land
- Welcoming and serving visitors in the Sadhana Forest Tea Hut
- Team meetings
You will gain knowledge and experience in:
- Dry land tree planting techniques
- Water conservation and ecosystem regeneration
- Volunteer management
- Community building
- Vegan nutrition and wholefood plant-based cooking
- Hygiene with biodegradable products
- Zero waste living
- Gift Economy
- Natural learning
Qualifications
No prior experience is required. Open for all Indian residents aged 18 and above.
