We await your innovation at TCS: Hiring | MS SQL Server DBA|Greetings from TCSWe are Hiring for MS SQL Server DBARequired Experience: 9-15 yearsWork location: KolkataMust-Have- Experience in SQL Server database administration (SQL Server 2012 through 2022).- Strong proficiency in installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.- Expertise in backup and recovery strategies, using native tools and third-party solutions.- Deep understanding of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) techniques (Always On, Log Shipping, Clustering, Mirroring).- Strong experience in performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, SQL Profiler, and Execution Plans.- Solid T-SQL programming and scripting experience.- Experience in managing large and complex databases (TBs of data, high transaction volume).- Ability to work in team setting as well as independently.- Strong understanding of security and compliance, including encryption, auditing, and role-based access.- Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, T-SQL, or similar tools.- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Agent jobs, SSIS packages, and SQL Maintenance Plans.- Good communication skills with both technical and management teamsGood-to-Have- Exposure to Azure SQL, SQL on IaaS, or other cloud-based DBaaS solutions- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Git, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.- Understanding of NoSQL, data lakes, or hybrid data platforms.- Experience with SSRS, SSAS, or Power BI integration.- Knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL administration for cross-platform exposure.- ITIL or other service management framework familiarity.- Experience working in regulated industries (Retail, finance, healthcare, etc.)- Participation in on-call rotations and incident management.- Any Cloud Database Certification (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google) are a strong plus.
