Each day, you will supervise performance of customs brokers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations.In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.The work model for the role is: #Li-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification business in Smart Power division at Vadodara, India.You will be mainly accountable for:Acting as point of contact for customs brokers in case of clarification needs (e.g., regarding valuation or classification of products).Auditing customs brokers regarding the correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and archiving.Managing the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.Maintaining and sharing with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions.Our Team DynamicsOur teams support each other, collaborate, and never stop learning. Being part of our team means your work matters - because the progress we make here creates real impact out there.Qualifications for the role You are immersed in EXIM operations in switchgear industryYou have 12 to 17 years of experience in managing end to end domestic logistics and international import and export operations, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations and local customs requirementsYou have experience in Negotiates freight and transportation rates. Coordinating with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and other logistics service providersExperience in shipment tracking, milestone updates, POD management, and in-transit issue resolution across internal platformsPossess an enhanced knowledge of SAP - HANA, IncoTerms  (International Commercial Terms) and MS Office PackageBachelor's in B.Com or Masters in M.Com / MBA (should be full-time)You are at ease communicating in EnglishMore about us ABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
