Procurement Specialist

About the Organization:
is a joint venture (“JV”) between Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited and NYMWAG C.S. a.s. , to design, manufacture and sell Railway freight Cars, and its components in India and Abroad, to cater to growing demand of wagons in domestic and export market, which is boosted by initiatives taken by Indian railways to modernize the entire rail system along with having modern infrastructure.
Position : Executive/ Assistant Manager
Location : Kolkata
Job Description:
Sourcing and Vendor Management:
and evaluate potential suppliers for marine project materials.
and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and conditions to secure favorable agreements.
Request for Quotation (RFQ) Management:
comprehensive RFQ documents for marine project materials and services.
with internal teams to define technical specifications and requirements.
Evaluation and Selection:
supplier capabilities, including quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
regular supplier performance reviews to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
Cost Negotiation and Budget Management:
pricing and contractual terms to achieve cost savings while maintaining product/service quality.
with project managers to develop and manage procurement budgets.
Supply Chain Coordination:
closely with the Supply Chain Management team to optimize logistics, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency in the procurement process.
Documentation and Reporting:
accurate and up-to-date procurement records.
regular reports on procurement activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance.
Qualification:
B.E./ B. Tech in Mechanical (Essential) /GDMM or PGDMM (Desirable).
Preference would be given to candidates from Railway sector with experience of freight car, locomotive, metro, coaches.
Skills & Experience:
5-7 + years of experience in of a large manufacturing company
Ability to prepare negotiation strategies/techniques and participate / lead negotiations (Desirable).
The candidate should be very enthusiastic, self-motivated and a fast learner.
