PURPOSE OF THE JOBPrepare and execute test and commissioning activities for signalling systems on field, in support to one or several projects Manage, as a team leader for T&C technicians/Engineers for wayside (Axle Counter, Point Machines, Signals, Object Controllers etc.)

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Key AccountabilitiesPrepare and execute testing activities

in support to one or several Projects on railway signalling systems under the direction of his / her hierarchyaccording to the testing procedure / documentation and following Sub-system T&C Leader and / or

PrCOM instructions

Ensure defects identification and correction (trouble shooting)In the event of a non-conformity observed during the commissioning phase, make a return experience (REX) towards the project, and ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test contextEnsure follow-up of detected issues and deliver the commissioning reports.Check that the test tools are in perfect working order and calibrated.Support V&V team and perform test in lab as per requestDeliver the committed performance in terms of Quality, Costs and Deadlines and in compliance with Alstom policies, local standards and regulations (in particular EHS and Railway Safety)

Performance Measurement

Efficiency and proactivity during the execution of the T&C testsCompliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standardsQuality of anticipation, monitoring and reporting

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCESEducational Requirements

Mandatory:Master/Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably electronics or embedded systems) or equivalent experience.Good knowledge of English language (read, written, spoken)

Desirable:Railway and signaling knowledgeAny other additional language is an asset

ExperienceMandatory:7-8 years of experience in T&C or V&V activities for signaling projects.Deep knowledge of T&C of signaling subsystems (Ex. ATS, On Board systems).Interface with V&V, Design, Installation stakeholders.

Desirable:Previous testing skillsKnowledge of ALSTOM rules and processesQuality, EHS and Railway safety

Competencies & SkillsFlexibility and mobility, available for short or long mission in different locations and countriesAvailable to work at night, during weekends and on public holidaysRigorous & team playerResilience, with an analytic way of thinking in order to solve complex system failuresCustomer satisfaction and results orientatedAble to communicate in an open and clear manner with various stakeholdersAbility to use new technologies and toolsDriving license.
