Roles and Responsibilities :


- Deep understanding of Java, Java EE, Servlets, JSP, Tag libraries, and JSTL skills


- Deep understanding of all AEM building blocks including templates, components, touch UI dialogs etc. and AEM development


- Deep understanding of Sightly (HTL), Sling Models, Queries, OSGi services and components


- Deep understanding of the AEM Sites deployment, Dispatcher Configuration, Clustering and fragmentation

Skills Required :


Java : Proficiency in Java programming language, including Java EE concepts and frameworks.


Servlets : Strong understanding of Servlets and experience in developing web applications using Java Servlet technology.


JSP (JavaServer Pages) : Experience in creating dynamic web content using JSP, including integrating Java code with HTML.


Tag Libraries and JSTL (JavaServer Pages Standard Tag Library) : Familiarity with JSP tag libraries and JSTL for streamlining the development of JSP pages.


AEM Building Blocks : Deep understanding of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) building blocks, components, templates, and workflows.


AEM Sites Deployment : Experience in deploying AEM Sites, configuring environments, and managing deployment processes.


Sightly/HTL (HTML Template Language) : Proficiency in Sightly (also known as HTL) for developing AEM components and templates.


OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative) : Knowledge of OSGi framework and its usage in AEM for modular development and runtime management.


CMS Development : Experience in content management system (CMS) development, with a focus on AEM.


AEM Technology : Strong understanding of AEM technology stack, including its architecture, APIs, and integration capabilities.


JCR/CRX : Experience with Java Content Repository (JCR) and CRX (Content Repository Extreme), which are core components of AEM.


Apache Sling : Familiarity with Apache Sling, a web framework for building RESTful web applications on top of the Java Content Repository.


Responsibilities :


- Develop and customize AEM components, templates, and workflows according to project requirements.


- Collaborate with designers, content authors, and other stakeholders to implement user-friendly and visually appealing web experiences.


- Integrate AEM with third-party systems and external services using APIs and web services.


- Configure AEM environments, including author, publish, and dispatcher setups, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.


- Implement responsive design principles and ensure cross-browser compatibility of AEM applications.


- Optimize AEM performance through caching strategies, asset optimization, and code refactoring.


- Troubleshoot and debug issues reported in AEM applications, providing timely resolutions.


- Stay updated with the latest developments in AEM and related technologies, and share knowledge with the team.


- Collaborate with other developers, architects, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.


Qualifications :


- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.


- 4-6 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on AEM development.


- Strong proficiency in Java programming language and web development technologies.


- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).


- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.


- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.


- Adobe Experience Manager certification(s) would be advantageous.
