Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and independent DevOps Lead to join our team. You will work closely with development and testing teams to manage, automate, and optimize our AWS-based infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include deployment automation, high availability (HA) optimization, Nginx performance tuning, and scalability enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Deployment Management:

Own and execute all production deployments independently.

Design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment.

Implement zero-downtime deployments and rollback strategies.

High Availability & Scalability:

Redesign and optimize Nginx configurations for a scalable, fault-tolerant system.

Implement AWS Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, and Multi-Region Deployments.

Improve server performance, caching strategies (Redis, Memcached), and CDN usage.

Infrastructure Automation & Management:

Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/CloudFormation.

Automate provisioning of AWS resources (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway).

Ensure robust log monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch, ELK, or Prometheus.

Security & Compliance:

Implement AWS IAM best practices, securing keys, roles, and access policies.

Automate backup strategies, disaster recovery, and failover mechanisms.

Ad-Hoc Operational Support:

Provide on-demand troubleshooting and issue resolution in production.

Optimize cost and performance of AWS resources.

Constantly research and implement new methodologies and DevOps best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of DevOps experience in AWS environments.

Expertise in AWS Services: EC2, RDS, S3, ELB, Route 53, Lambda, CloudFront.

Strong knowledge of Nginx configuration and tuning for HA & scalability.

Proficiency in CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, or Spinnaker.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

Scripting & Automation: Bash, Python, or Ansible for automating deployments.

Experience with containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.

Security & Monitoring: AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK Stack, or Datadog.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with AWS Fargate, AWS CDK, or Lambda-based automation.

Familiarity with Blue-Green and Canary deployments.

Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS).

Exposure to serverless architectures on AWS.
