Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical RDBMS and No-SQL systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our databases. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and sustainment of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and MariaDB/MySQL environments, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health and performance), executing data loads, and performing data modeling in support of multiple development teams. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

ResponsibilitiesManage databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectationsIndependently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changesWrite new scripts and refine existing once.Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.

Skills and Qualifications6+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience requiredExpert knowledge required in SQL Server replication, Always-ON, performance tuning and optimization, troubleshooting and SQL Server internals.Expert level experience with backups, restores and recovery modelsHands-on on other HA/DR topologies like Log Shipping, Mirroring and Clustering for SQL ServerExpert in writing and troubleshooting T-SQLExperience working with Windows server, including Active DirectoryExperience working with Linux and any scripting language like powershell, shell, python etc..Intermediate to Expert level experience in MySQL/ MariaDB installation, backup, restore, recovery, security, replication, troubleshooting failures, performance troubleshooting and tuning.Experience in PostgreSQL installation, backup, restore, recovery, setting up security, replication and troubleshooting.Experience in MongoDB installation, CRUD operations, backup, restore, recovery, security best practices, replication and sharding.Excellent written and verbal communicationFlexible, team player, “get-it-done” personalityAbility to organize and plan work independentlyAbility to work in a rapidly changing environmentAbility to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teamsMCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus
