Job DescriptionWerken als Medior WordPress Developer bij Social Brothers betekent ontwikkeling, uitdaging en samenwerking met jouw collega's. Wij zoeken in ons WordPress team een Medior Developer die met een aantal jaren ervaring in WordPress een mooie aanvulling is tussen de junior, medior en senior developers.

Wie zoeken wij:Als Medior WordPress Developer heb jij:kennis van HTML5, SCSS, Javascript, jQuery en PHP;

ervaring met development via GIT, SASS en Javascript (ES6 en typescript);

aandacht voor detail en een voorliefde voor nette en gestructureerde code;

zeker 10 websites gebouwd als WordPress developer waar je bijzonder trots op bent;

oog voor gebruiksvriendelijkheid en klantbeleving;

ervaring met Stackoverflow en maakt daar dankbaar gebruik van;

ervaring met het vertalen van een technisch vraagstuk naar een werkende oplossing;

communicatieve vaardigheden en

graag zelfstandigheid in een baan.

Ervaring met Tailwind, Twig, Typescript, ViteJS, Svelte of Woocommerce is een pre.Zo ziet jouw werkdag eruit:Je loopt ‘s ochtends binnen op kantoor en ziet dat een aantal van je collega’s al aan het werk is. Je pakt een kop koffie, kletst even met collega’s en gaat dan zelf ook aan de slag. Eerst even kijken wat er voor vandaag allemaal op de planning staat en of er nog bijzondere dingen zijn. De ochtend begint voor jou met een project waar je al langer aan werkt. Voorheen heb je in een team gewerkt, maar nu ben je alleen bezig met de puntjes op de i, voordat de website live gaat. Aan het einde van de ochtend heb je een evaluatie over het project met jouw Projectmanager, samen bespreken jullie wat de stand van zaken is en wat er nog moet gebeuren. Morgenochtend ga je hier weer mee verder.

Tijdens de lunch gaat het even niet over werk, je zit met collega’s buiten of bent een potje aan het tafeltennissen. Na de lunch heb je een Kick-off, je gaat meewerken aan een nieuw project, waar jij veel verantwoordelijkheid krijgt. Gelijk aan het begin van het project wordt je erbij gehaald en de vragen over Front End development worden door jou beantwoord. Na de Kick-off ga je samen met je team direct aan de slag en vol nieuwe energie slaan jullie direct op dag 1 een grote slag. Gaaf om dit samen te bereiken Aan het einde van de dag is er nog een korte evaluatie op het nieuwe project. De Projectmanager is tevreden en geeft terug bij de klant dat het project gestart is. Wie zijn wij:Social Brothers is opgericht in 2011 en is een Digital Agency, gespecialiseerd in het bouwen van websites, applicaties en data gedreven marketing campagnes vanuit onze kantoren in Utrecht en Amsterdam. Met inmiddels meer dan 60 collega’s, onder wie designers, developers en marketeers, werken wij dagelijks aan toffe projecten.

Zo werken voor verschillende opdrachtgevers in verschillende segmenten en markten. Opdrachtgevers waar Social Brothers op dit moment voor werkt, zijn: Rode Kruis, Human Total Care, Piet Boon, Port of Rotterdam en andere. Deze opdrachtgevers verschillen in doelstelling (van beleving tot conversie) of aantal bezoekers (van 10.000 tot 1 miljoen per maand). De opdrachten die we uitvoeren voor deze opdrachtgevers lopen uiteen van het ontwikkelen van een website tot het volledig verzorgen van de marketing activiteiten.

Het Front-end WordPressteam:Een team van twaalf gedreven en ambitieuze developers, dat is wat ons WordPressteam kenmerkt. We hebben allemaal onze eigen kwaliteiten en daarmee kunnen wij in verschillende projectgroepen werken aan de mooiste opdrachten. Juist omdat we zo verschillend zijn en kennis hebben van verschillende dingen, is samenwerken en kennisdelen belangrijk. Dit doen wij wekelijks in kennisdelingssessies en tijdens het werk, maar ook op de donderdagavond, waar we, onder het genot van een pizza en veel gezelligheid, momenteel leren hoe Svelte werkt.

Binnen ons WordPressteam proberen wij WordPress naar een hoger niveau te tillen. Dit houdt in dat wij aandacht besteden aan het schrijven van goede en gestructureerde code volgens moderne programmeer standaarden en principes in ons eigen custom WPB framework.
