Job Summary:The primary purpose of the

SAP Basis Administration

role is to ensure the smooth and efficient operationof SAP systems. SAP Basis is the technical foundation that enables SAP applications to function effectively.

Responsibilities:Role Specific Responsibilities:

System Installation and Configuration- Install and configure SAP systems, including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP BW, and other SAP modules, ensuring they meet the specific needs of Aurorium.System Monitoring and Troubleshooting- Monitor SAP systems for performance issues, system errors, and other anomalies. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems to maintain system health.Database Administration-Manage the underlying databases (e.g., SAP HANA, SQL Server) that support SAP applications, ensuring data integrity, performance, and availability.Backup and Recovery- Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures to protect data and ensure business continuity in case of system failures or disasters.Performance Tuning- Optimize the performance of SAP systems by fine-tuning system parameters, managing workloads, and conducting regular performance assessments.Transport Management -Oversee the transport management system (TMS) to manage changes and updates across different SAP environments (development, testing, production).Disaster Recovery Planning - Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure that SAP systems can be quickly restored in case of catastrophic events.Collaboration and Coordination - Work closely with other IT teams, such as network administrators, database administrators, and application developers, to ensure cohesive operation and integration of SAP systems.Documentation and Reporting- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes. Generate reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions.

Strategic Role1. Planning and Strategy- Contribute to the planning and strategy for IT infrastructure and SAP system landscapes to support business goals and growth.2. Innovation and Improvement - Stay informed about new SAP technologies and best practices, proposing improvements and innovations to enhance the SAP environment.3. Compliance and Risk Management- Ensure that SAP systems comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate risks related to SAP system operations.By fulfilling these purposes and responsibilities, the SAP Basis role is critical in maintaining the technical backbone of an organization’s SAP environment, enabling seamless and efficient business processes.Differentiate between customer requirements and Aurorium’s capabilities; choose thebest/cost-effective solution.Contribute to the business goals, in particular for Customer Service.Coordinate between sales, manufacturing locations, planners, and customers to ensure deliverables are met. Strong ownership of activity to delivery is a mustSupport commercial strategies with Aurorium customers across multiple businesses.

Education and Qualifications:Graduate in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience in lieu.

Experience:7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration.Manufacturing, pharmaceutical or chemical industry experience preferred
