Job Title
Lab Engineer

Educational Qualification.

  1. B.E / B Tech in Metallurgical engineering.
  2. Should have graduated from a reputed institute.
  3. Must have passed 12th class senior secondary examination in 1st class.

Experience:

  1. Minimum 3 years Laboratory experience in a reputed firm.
  2. Should have experience in steel, heat treatment and forming operations.
  3. Should have worked on metallographic sample preparation, microscope.
  4. Should be conversant with national and international standards in chemistry.
  5. Should have basic computer knowledge.
  6. Participation in national / international seminars will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for metallurgical testing as per customer requirement.
  2. Communicating and coordinating with the customer for critical requirements.
  3. To ensure that equipment's are periodically calibrated.
  4. To ensure that equipment's undergo preventive maintenance.
  5. To endure cleanliness and orderliness.
  6. To ensure adherence to safety (PP), & EHS requirements.
  7. participate and prepare for the Quality system and EHS audits.
  8. coordinating with service providers Viz suppliers, purchase etc.

Reporting:

Manager – metallurgy.

Soft skills requirement:

  1. Should be a team player.
  2. Should work with integrity and honesty.
  3. Good analytical ability.
  4. Should be fluent in spoken and written English.
  5. Good presentation skills.
  6. Should keep himself abreast with the latest technological developments.
  7. Should be able to work independently.
  8. Should be able to provide technical support to SKF India plants.
