DepartmentSell-side Research & OperationLocationBangalore Experience2+ years of experience in Equity ResearchEducationGraduation + CFA L3 cleared OR MBA in FinanceSectors Experience into Metals & Mining and Luxury Goods will be added advantage.Key ResponsibilitiesWorkflow could include:Building and updating financial models with scenario analysisCarrying-out DCF, relative, SOTP and other relevant valuation methodsDeveloping accurate assumptions and valuation with rationaleScreening large datasets to identify investment ideas and assisting PMs/CIOs in their investment decisionsDiscussion investment ideas and stock updates with PM/CIOPreparing earnings reviews, preview, attend con calls and management meetingsPreparing pitch notes/presentations, industry and thematic notesCreating and updating databasesCollecting and analyzing newsHandling ad hoc research requestMaintain constant communication with the client and other stakeholdersKey CompetenciesThe analyst should haveExcellent financial modeling and research report-writing/presentation making skillsShould have ability to think through drivers and KPIs across broad range of sectorsGood client relationship management skills and communication skillsAn eye for details and ability to handle multiple workflows with tight deadlinesNumerical abilitiesBuilding complex, error-free models with well-defined revenue/cost driver assumptionsCarrying out earnings sensitivity analysisProviding own valuation views after carrying out relative, DCF-based or industry appropriate valuationsWriting skillsWriting in a logical and structured manner that requires minimal reworkWriting bulletins and one-page summariesLinking macro/industry analysis to the outputBuilding effective presentationsOthersCollecting news; summarizing and providing analysis that adds value; and preparing charts, tables, and databases
