Senior Backend developer

Job Title: Senior Backend Developer (Python FastAPI)
Location: Infopark koratty, Thrissur
Experience: 3+ years
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or Related field

Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable
backend services using Python FastAPI.
• Mentor and train junior developers, fostering a collaborative and
supportive team environment.
• Provide guidance on best practices in backend development,
including authentication, database design, and testing.
• Design and optimize database schemas for relational and NoSQL
databases.
• Implement asynchronous task processing and message brokering
systems for efficient communication between services.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code
quality and reliability.
• Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate containers
with Kubernetes for seamless deployment and scalability.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, architects, and product
managers to deliver high-quality features and solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and share knowledge with
the team to drive continuous improvement.
Skills and Qualification
• All skills required for the Backend Developer role, plus:
• Proven experience in mentoring and training junior developers
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively
• Experience in leading backend development projects from concept
to completion
• Deep understanding of software design principles and patterns
• Framework & Protocols: Python FastAPI, OAuth, JWT
• Databases: Postgres, MongoDB, Elasticsearch with
Fluentd/Logstash, and Kibana
• Tooling: Alembic, Celery with Redis as the broker, Flower (task
monitoring), Rabbit MQ (message broker), PyTest (testing)
• Other: Docker (containerizing the app), Kubernetes (managing &
orchestrating the containers)
Educational Qualification
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related
field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 3+ years of experience in backend development, with a focus on
Python FastAPI
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and training junior
developers
• Strong portfolio showcasing leadership in backend development
projects.
