MedGenome is the founding member of GenomeAsia 100K, an initiative to sequence 100,000 Genomes in Asia.

We have an exciting opportunity for the position of Senior Manager - Legal in Bengaluru location. It is a full time and work from office opportunity.

Skills and Experience Required:

- 8+ years of experience working in Corporate legal environment.- Provide legal counsel and advise the Management as needed on the legal aspects of corporate and commercial matters.- Be the single point of contact for all departments for legal advice; i.e., recommend and provide legal advice and support to the company’s various departments as needed (including on Compliance matters such as labor laws).- Own and manage the legal department including development of the departments processes and systems and development and mentoring team members- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements and documents and continuously seeks ways to improve the forms, processes, or systems involved- Identify legal risks and propose solutions to mitigate and prevent routine legal risks- Conduct legal research (as needed) to advise the Company on various topics- Monitor the developments, including proposed legislation and court decisions related to the Company’s industry, including data privacy laws, and evaluates impact on operations.- Work with outside legal counsel and orchestrate legal processes on behalf of the Company in liaison with outside counsel at the direction of the executive leadership- Negotiate with outside parties on contractual issues and legal disputes including settlement conferences or negotiating key contract terms- Support the executive leadership in corporate transactions- Work with and manage outside counsel and support them on negotiations- Advise on legally viable and tax efficient structures for future investments (M&A’s, partnerships and Acqui-hire) of the Company and Emerge group companies as needed

Educational Qualification:

LLM/LLB from a Reputed University
