ROLE:

As a Staff Software Engineer with a focus on backend technologies and infrastructure, you will be a crucial player in shaping our technology stack. You’ll lead the development of our backend architecture, ensuring our systems are robust, efficient, and scalable, while also optimizing our infrastructure.


Role : Staff Software Engineer

Location : Chennai (WFO)

Interview process : Virtual + In-person

Skills : Python or Golang developer + Infrastructure development


Key Responsibilities:

  • Backend Development: Architect and implement high-performance backend systems using Python or Go. Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable code that powers our applications.
  • Infrastructure Management: Take full ownership of our infrastructure, deploying and managing services in cloud environments. Leverage your expertise to automate provisioning, monitoring, and scaling of systems.
  • AWS Expertise: Implement and enhance AWS IoT Core. Collaborate with development teams to integrate best practices for continuous delivery and deployment.
  • Database Management: Hands-on experience with MongoDB and SQL for effective data management and optimization.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions that align with our business objectives. Share your knowledge and mentor junior engineers to elevate the team's overall expertise.
  • Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies. Propose and lead initiatives to enhance our software and infrastructure continuously.


Qualifications:

  • 9 to 12 years of experience in backend development, with strong proficiency in Python or Go.
  • Solid experience with AWS IoT Core.
  • Extensive background in infrastructure management, including CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing complex challenges.
  • Experience in performance tuning, monitoring, and scaling distributed systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and mentor junior team members.
