As an L2 Level Network Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring its optimal performance, security, and reliability.


Responsibilities:


  • Design, configure, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues proactively, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime.
  • Manage and maintain VPN connectivity for remote sites and external partners, ensuring secure and efficient communication.
  • Implement and manage DNS services, including domain name registration, record management, and resolution.
  • Perform subnetting and IP address management, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of IP address space.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that align with business requirements.
  • Conduct regular network audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate security measures.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and stakeholders, assisting with network-related issues and inquiries.
  • Stay up to date with emerging network technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing improvements, as necessary.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications (BCA), Computer Science (BSc), or Information Technology (BTech).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in networking and infrastructure, preferably in a corporate domain.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
  • Strong experience in configuring and troubleshooting network devices, such as Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, Wireshark).
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve network issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with internal teams effectively and external vendors.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA are highly desirable.
  • Candidate should be ready to work in the evening/night shift.
