Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Architecture & Design:

- Design and implement data solutions on the Snowflake platform, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipelines.- Work with stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure that Snowflake schemas (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema) align with business needs.- Integrate Snowflake with other data sources, applications, and systems.

1. ETL/ELT Development:

- Develop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) or ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) pipelines to ensure seamless data flow from source systems to Snowflake.- Utilize Snowflake's native features such as Snowpipe, tasks, and streams to automate and optimize data ingestion.

1. Performance Optimization:

- Optimize query performance, storage, and cost management by leveraging Snowflake’s built-in capabilities such as clustering, pruning, and caching.- Monitor and analyze the performance of the Snowflake platform to identify and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies.

1. Data Security & Governance:

- Implement data security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), data masking, and encryption, in alignment with organizational and compliance standards.- Ensure data governance protocols, such as data lineage, auditing, and metadata management, are implemented across all Snowflake environments.

1. Data Integration & APIs:

- Integrate Snowflake with various data sources (e.g., cloud storage, on-prem systems, APIs, third-party applications).- Develop and maintain APIs for connecting Snowflake to external applications and systems.

1. Collaboration & Communication:

- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business users to understand their data requirements and provide them with the tools and access needed for data analysis and reporting.- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to junior team members.

1. Testing & Troubleshooting:

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting for data pipelines, processes, and transformations within the Snowflake environment.- Resolve issues related to data integrity, latency, and reliability.
