Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in BD/Sales (for furniture, home furnishings, or related interior decor based industries)

Company strength: 3,800+ employees

Office location: Mehrauli Gurgaon Road, Village Sultanpur, New Delhi

CTC on Offer: 12 to 14 LPA, based on relevant experience, interview performance, and last drawn compensation.

Work Days: 6 days working (including Sat-Sun, weekly off would be in the week Mon-Fri).

Candidate Location: Delhi/Gurgaon/nearby candidates only will be preferred for this role.

Since its inception, the company's turnover has seen a remarkable increase from USD 8 million in 1999 to USD 250 million in recent years. They are expecting a total revenue of over $300 million (including exports revenue) this year (of which they export 65% of their production volumes to key brands across the globe.) They export their premium fabrics to 65 countries worldwide. The client operates 4 state-of-the-art manufacturing plants located near Mumbai, with a production capacity exceeding 100,000 meters of fabric per day . This innovation reaches more than 1,000 homes daily. The supply chain can deliver over 200,000 SKUs, chosen from a diverse range of products, including furnishing fabric, embroidered fabric, yarn, ready-mades, velvets, and wallpapers. As a proud employer, the client boasts a dedicated workforce of over 3,800 employees . Their products are crafted by top-tier in-house and international designers and are utilized by leading designers and furniture-makers across Europe and the USA. The client serves some of the largest and most prominent global brands. They hold copyright ownership over more than 10,000 designs and participate in the five biggest international trade fairs annually.


Role summary: Our client is seeking an an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager - Retail to drive their sales operations and expand their footprint in the institutional and retail sectors. This is a key role focused on generating revenue through project sales and developing a strong network of architects, interior decorators, and builders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project sales within furniture, home furnishings, or related industries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and influencers, keeping them informed of new collections in-store.
  • Collaborate with the head office marketing team to identify new sales channels, including institutional and hospitality sectors.
  • Develop and expand the customer base, unrestricted by geography.
  • Network and build a robust database of architects, interior decorators, and builders.
  • Drive revenue through project sales and suggest branding activities in the institutional sector.
  • Cultivate long-term customer relationships by understanding their current and future requirements.
  • Analyze market, industry, and competitor trends to inform marketing and sales strategies.
  • Plan and manage store visual and merchandise displays, ensuring the implementation of sales and promotional activities.
  • Monitor point-of-sales activities, including sales transactions, payment tracking, inventory updates, and customer feedback.


Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Graduate/Diploma/MBA
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in project sales (furniture, home furnishings, or allied industries).
  • Strong networking skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and plan strategies accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
