We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Central Planning Manager-Data Center at Johnson Controls.
- Collaborate with the Manager to review project scope and tender documents, highlighting potential risks and challenges, and verifying cost alignment with project scope and technical specifications.
- Create a project schedule in Microsoft Project (MSP) with clearly defined critical path and milestones, highlighting necessary clearance requirements from the customer.
With 10-12 years of hands-on experience in Data Center projects, this role requires:
- Installation, testing, and commissioning of CCTV, Access, Building Management Systems (BMS), and Fire Alarm Systems.
- Certifications for commissioning security and fire detection systems.
This role demands hands-on experience in Data Center project management, vendor management, testing, and commissioning processes.
Resource Deployment and Site Monitoring- Ensure competent resources are deployed at the site to handle projects efficiently.
- Deploy efficient and competent subcontractors with adequate manpower to meet project timelines.
- Regularly review design and construction progress with the design and project teams.
- Conduct site walks with project engineers to monitor progress against schedules.
- Perform quality checks during site walks and ensure audits are conducted periodically.
- Create VO opportunities, including tenders, non-tenders, time extensions, and cost escalations.
- VO value: 10-15% of project value.
- Attend site meetings and raise alerts for dependencies or clearances impacting project deliveries.
- Escalate issues to the next level of PMC or customer if dependencies are not resolved.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including design, Supply Chain Management, Learning & Development, Quality, and Finance.
- Highlight support requirements to senior levels within the organization to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain timely invoicing and AR collection.
- Pursue VO opportunities with site teams.
- Manage account statements for each project.
- Perform pre-commissioning checks before taking over the project.
- Request technical or resource support from the manager in advance.
- Prepare O&M manuals, as-built documents, and other relevant materials during the pre-commissioning stage.
