Key Responsibilities:
1. Test Strategy Development:
• Analyze requirements, design, and create comprehensive test plans and strategies for automation.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify testable features and define automation scope.
2. Automation Script Development:
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.
• Write clean, modular, and reusable code for automated tests.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
3. Test Execution & Reporting:
• Execute automated test cases, track results, and report defects to the development team.
• Work closely with developers to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
• Analyze test results to ensure high-quality software releases.
4. Framework Development:
• Design and develop automation testing frameworks that support a wide range of testing activities (functional, regression, integration, performance).

6. Test Environment Management:
• Set up, configure, and maintain test environments for automated testing.
• Ensure all automation environments are up-to-date and meet the requirements for testing activities.
7. Test Coverage & Quality Improvement:
• Ensure high test coverage for critical features and scenarios, aiming to achieve maximum efficiency in the testing process.
• Identify areas of improvement in testing processes and propose solutions to enhance overall testing quality.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, or QTP/UFT.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration with testing tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Testing Knowledge:
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience in functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze test failures to determine the root cause.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving problems.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications such as ISTQB or equivalent are a plus.
Experience:
• Typically requires 2+ years of experience in automation testing, though entry-level and junior positions are also available.
