About the RoleThe Tax Analyst will join our in-house Tax team and will focus on preparing tax work papers and calculations for various tax work streams including indirect and direct taxes, responding to correspondence from tax agencies, and assisting with the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions and other ad hoc projects as needed.

Here's what you'll do:Undertake tax compliances – Downloading reports, general ledger, trial balance, reconciliation and determination of amounts to be paidReview of monthly/ quarterly/ annual returns in coordination with consultantsFinalisation and filing of GST returns, income tax and transfer pricingUndertakes periodic credit reconciliations and coordinate with underlying team for vendor managementEnsure compliance with adopted tax positions and timely filing of all returnsAssist in litigation managementPreparation of refund application wherever required in line with GST provisions, income tax and transfer pricingPreparation of draft responses towards departmental notices/ appeal to tax authorities in line with the adopted tax positionsExtracting necessary data/ information for submission before authoritiesFinalising response/ appeal/ refund sets for submissionTax advisories – Advising business teams on queries related to business transactions, including undertaking positions on tax liability and credit entitlementTax accounting – Ensuring correct book entries for GST related transaction, income tax and transfer pricing and undertake periodic reconciliation ensuring compliance of the sameTrack GST, income tax and transfer pricing updates and undertake impact analysis vis-à-vis current structure

What we're looking for:Bachelor's degree in Accounting. A Master's degree in Taxation or an equivalent qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA)1+ year of work experience, preference will be given to candidates having prior articleship experience in taxesCandidate handling indirect taxation (compliance and litigation) in tax consulting firms / Big 4 / IndustryWorking knowledge of tax legislations especially GST, income tax and transfer pricing legislationKnowledge of ERP systems (preferably Oracle) and prior working experience with ERP systems
