Position: Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician
Salary: Up to £30k PA
Hours: Mon-Fri 9-5pm, flexible hours possible

Your Role: As an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the assembly and testing of bespoke industrial machines designed to boost seed health using advanced plasma treatments. Reporting to the Lead Production Engineer, you'll work both in our office and on-site, interfacing with customers and ensuring exceptional quality in every project.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Understand and follow detailed mechanical and electrical technical drawings.
  • Precision: Demonstrate thorough attention to detail while assembling machines safely and to the highest quality standards.
  • Industrial Experience: Utilize your background in mechanical/electronic/electrical assembly.
  • Test Equipment: Operate equipment such as thermocouples, transducers, and flow meters.
  • Problem-Solving: Methodically address and resolve technical issues.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly.
  • Ability to understand and follow technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with test equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of electrical safety systems, control panels, and schematics.
  • Understanding of embedded systems and communication protocols (e.g., MODBUS).
  • Any programming experience is a plus.

Role Status:

  • This is a newly created position to expand our team from 2 to 3 members.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For: Experience: Minimum of 5 years (excluding training) in electronic security and life safety systems with an NSI Gold accredited company. Technical Skills: Proficient in installing, commissioning, maintaining, and fault-finding on various security systems. Knowledge: Familiarity with brands such as Honeywell, Menvier, Texecom, Paxton, Videx, C-Tec, Advanced, Morley, Hikvision, Hanwha, and Avigilon. IT & Networking: Strong understanding of IT, networking, electrical, and electronic principles. Availability: Willingness to join the 24-hour call-out rota. Additional Skills: Self-managed with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good judgment and decision-making skills under time constraints. Excellent vehicle stock control and organizational skills. Adherence to health and safety policies. Proficient in completing audit paperwork and job sheets. Clean driving license and a professional attitude.
