Position Overview:
The CyberArk L3 Support Engineer is responsible for providing advanced technical support and management for CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions. This role requires deep expertise in CyberArk products, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle complex issues and integrations. The L3 Support Engineer works closely with internal teams, clients, and external vendors to ensure the seamless operation of CyberArk solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Advanced Technical Support:
Provide third-level support for CyberArk environments, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
Address escalated tickets from L1 and L2 support teams.
Perform root cause analysis for major incidents and implement corrective actions.
System Management and Monitoring:
Oversee the health and performance of CyberArk solutions, including the Digital Vault, Privileged Session Manager (PSM), and Central Policy Manager (CPM).
Conduct regular system audits and reviews to ensure compliance with security policies.
Configuration and Maintenance:
Configure and maintain CyberArk components and integrations.
Manage and update CyberArk policies, platforms, and account configurations.
Perform version upgrades and patch management for CyberArk solutions.
Integration and Automation:
Integrate CyberArk with other security and IT management tools (e.g., SIEM, ticketing systems, LDAP/Active Directory).
Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline CyberArk operations.
Documentation and Reporting:
Create and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and compliance metrics.
Training and Knowledge Sharing:
Provide training and guidance to L1 and L2 support teams.
Share best practices and contribute to the development of support documentation and knowledge base articles.
Project Involvement:
Participate in CyberArk-related projects, including new implementations, migrations, and upgrades.
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure that CyberArk deployments adhere to organizational security policies and regulatory requirements.
Participate in security audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of CyberArk Privileged Access Security solutions.
Experience with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of CyberArk components (Vault, PSM, CPM, AIM).
Strong understanding of network and security principles.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Experience with root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
Scripting and Automation:
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.
Experience with API integrations and development.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
Certifications and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as CyberArk Certified Delivery Engineer (CDE) or CyberArk Certified Trustee (CACT) are highly desirable.
Additional security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, with at least 3 years focused on CyberArk solutions.
Experience with other PAM solutions and security tools is beneficial.
