Job Title: Backend Developer (AR/VR Furniture Platform)Location: Hyderabad (Hybrid)Company: Skyfall Productions / AR Furniture StartupExperience: 2–6 yearsAbout the RoleWe are building an immersive AR/VR platform that allows users to visualize furniture in their homes using Meta Quest, Apple Vision Pro, and mobile AR. We are looking for a strong Backend Developer to architect and build the core backend infrastructure powering the product catalog, user data, 3 D model delivery, and real-time features.You will develop APIs, manage databases, optimize asset delivery, and ensure the platform is secure, scalable, and fast.Key Responsibilities API Development- Build RESTful or Graph QL APIs for:- Product catalog- User profiles & authentication- 3 D asset delivery- Wishlist, saved rooms, and layout storage- Integrate with Unity & vision OS apps seamlessly.Database & Data Management- Design and manage scalable databases.- Create schemas for:- Furniture items- Category structures- Variant metadata- Room design data- Implement efficient caching to reduce latency.Cloud Infrastructure- Deploy and manage backend services on:- AWS / Google Cloud / Azure- Or Firebase/Supabase for MVP- Handle:- Cloud storage for 3 D models (GLB/GLTF)- CDN for fast global delivery- Asset optimization & compression pipelinesSecurity & Performance- Ensure secure access, token management, and encrypted data handling.- Optimize API performance for real-time AR/VR requirements.- Build scalable backend that supports thousands of daily users.Integrations- Implement integrations with:- E-commerce platforms (Shopify/Woo Commerce)- Payment gateways (Razorpay/Stripe)- Analytics & logging systems- Create admin dashboard backend for furniture uploads & management.Collaboration- Work with Unity and vision OS developers for data syncing.- Coordinate with 3 D team to manage large 3 D files efficiently.- Collaborate with UI/UX and Product for feature implementation.Required Skills- Strong experience with Node.js (Express/Nest JS) or Python (Fast API/Django).- Database experience with:- Postgre SQL / My SQL- Redis (for caching)- Experience with cloud platforms:- AWS (S3, Lambda, EC2, Cloud Front)- Or Firebase/Supabase- Knowledge of:- Authentication systems (JWT, OAuth)- Web Sockets or real-time APIs- Asset handling (large file optimization)Bonus Skills (Good to Have)- Experience handling 3 D asset pipelines.- Knowledge of microservices architecture.- Experience with Graph QL.- Understanding of Unity networking or multiplayer systems.- Dev Ops experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions, Docker).Who You Are- Strong problem solver with a product-oriented mindset.- Passionate about scalable backend systems.- Able to work independently and own entire backend modules.- Comfortable in fast-paced startup environments.Why Join Us?- Work on India’s first large-scale AR/VR furniture visualization system.- Build backend infrastructure for cutting-edge spatial computing.- High ownership of architecture and technology decisions.- Opportunity to grow into Lead Backend or CTO role.If you want, I can also write JDs for:✔ 3 D Artist✔ vision OS Developer✔ Computer Vision Engineer✔ QA Tester
