East Green Advisors, a SEBI registered PMS, has an exceptional opportunity for a self-driven Equity Research Analyst in the Investments team.
About the founders:
The founders bring cross functional multi-industry experience (10+ years each) across hedge funds, family investment offices, NBFCs, management consulting, pharma, FMCG and internet startups. The founding team has been involved in the financial markets as analysts/traders/advisors for the past decade which has helped develop and fine tune East Green’s investment philosophy and process.
Role and responsibilities:
Tracking the companies and sectors allocated to the individual including but not limited to financial analysis and study of competitive landscape
Support in thematic bottom-up research in stock selection
Monitoring quarterly results, attending conference calls for portfolio companies and other companies of interest
Making investment recommendations with sound reasoning for the same
Skills needed:
The candidate needs to have 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably on the buy-side
Good understanding of basic financial statements, ratios and valuation concepts
Ability to think using first principles and filter signal from the daily noise in stock markets
Proficiency in using multiple data sources to collate and analyze information by drawing own conclusion and making sense out of the data
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Independent thinking, diligence, persistence and curiosity is critical for long term success in this role
Education: Graduate degree in any discipline with a quantitative bent of mind
