Job Title: GCP Data Engineer

As we expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and experienced GCP Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mumbai.

Position Overview:

As a GCP Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be responsible for building scalable and efficient data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet the organization's data needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development:
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines on GCP.
  • Utilize GCP tools and services such as Dataflow, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage to process and manage large datasets.
  • Data Modeling and Schema Design:
  • Develop and maintain data models and schemas to support business requirements.
  • Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and implement appropriate structures.
  • Data Integration:
  • Integrate data from various sources into the GCP environment.
  • Collaborate with application developers to ensure seamless data flow between different systems.
  • Data Quality and Governance:
  • Implement and enforce data quality standards and best practices.
  • Establish and maintain data governance processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Performance Optimization:
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines to ensure efficient processing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and pipeline performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on GCP.
  • Strong proficiency in GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.
  • Experience with data modeling, schema design, and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GCP certification in Data Engineering.
  • Experience with data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and tools.
  • Previous experience in (relevant industry/sector).
