Automation Test Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join our dynamic team. As an Automation Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using industry-leading tools and frameworks. You will collaborate closely with development teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Selenium, Java, Cucumber, Rest Assured, Azure, Agile methodologies, Jenkins, DevOps practices, and Git version control.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java to ensure the quality of web applications.
  • Utilize Cucumber framework to write BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) test scenarios and automate acceptance tests.
  • Implement API testing using Rest Assured to validate the functionality and performance of RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into automated test cases.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Configure and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for faster feedback loops.
  • Utilize Azure cloud services for test environment provisioning and management.
  • Implement best practices for test automation, including code reviews, version control, and test data management using Git.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues in a timely manner.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in automation testing using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
  • Strong understanding of BDD principles and experience with Cucumber framework.
  • Proficiency in API testing using Rest Assured or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services for test environment setup and management.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Agile development environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins for building, testing, and deploying applications.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles.
  • Proficient in Git version control for managing test scripts and test data.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
