Location: Tamil Nadu

*** Candidate should possess prior experience at the Board Level within a banking firm. Retired Executive Directors, CEOs, or MDs are particularly welcome and will be considered for the role.

Job Summary:

The Managing Director & CEO will play a pivotal role in leading our client's transformation journey towards aggressive growth, with a primary focus on credit expansion, particularly in the MSME segment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in banking, financial services, and leadership at the board level. They will drive strategic initiatives, manage risks effectively, and ensure regulatory compliance to achieve sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

- Lead the formulation and execution of the bank's strategic objectives, aligned with its vision and values.- Drive aggressive growth strategies with a focus on expanding credit facilities, especially in the MSME segment.- Foster a culture of innovation, customercentricity, and operational excellence throughout the organization.

2. Financial Performance:

- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to achieve revenue and profitability targets.- Implement measures to optimize asset quality, manage risk exposure, and ensure sustainable growth in the lending portfolio.

3. Stakeholder Management:

- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders including regulators, investors, customers, and employees.- Represent the bank in external forums, industry associations, and regulatory bodies to enhance its reputation and influence.

4. Risk Management and Compliance:

- Establish robust risk management frameworks and practices to identify, assess, and mitigate various risks associated with banking operations.- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards, maintaining the bank's integrity and reputation.

5. Talent Development:

- Attract, retain, and develop a highperforming team of professionals capable of driving the bank's growth agenda.- Provide mentorship, coaching, and leadership development opportunities to cultivate a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 25 years of overall experience in various verticals/domains within the banking or financial services sector in India.

Extensive experience in credit, risk management, regulation, or supervision, with a deep understanding of MSME lending.

Previous experience serving as a board member in a banking firm is highly desirable.

Proven track record of delivering business results, driving organizational change, and leading successful transformation initiatives.

No vigilance case or adverse observation from RBI pending against the candidate.

Strong analytical, strategic, and decisionmaking skills with the ability to navigate complex challenges and opportunities.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
