Job Description

BI Developer Page 1 of 2 Elevate is recruiting a Software Engineer – BI As a Looker Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Looker data models and dashboards. You'll work closely with various teams to ensure that data is accessible, reliable, and presented in meaningful ways to drive business decisions. We need a professional who is: • Deeply passionate about technology and keeping the systems and your knowledge updated. • Eager to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment for a quickly growing company. • Looking for high visibility and unlimited growth potential. • Willing to learn and work on additional technologies and platforms. Specifically, this role will involve to: • Develop, maintain, and optimize LookML models, explores, and dashboards. • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless data integration for Looker models. • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver custom Looker experiences. • Educate and support business users in their day-to-day use of data in Looker. • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data presented in Looker dashboards. • Implement performance and security best practices within Looker. • Stay updated with the latest Looker features and updates to ensure optimal utilization. • Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies and Looker-related issues. Essential experience and skills: • 3+ years of support experience on SAAS-based products. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases. • Experience in BI tools other than Looker (like Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. • Familiarity with version control tools like Git. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Technical skills: • Experience in integrating Looker with other platforms and tools. • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or JavaScript. • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. • Certification in Looker or other BI tools is a plus.
