Position Overview: We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and drive the development of new and existing projects using Unreal Engine. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of leadership and technical expertise, an innovative mindset and a deep understanding of game development for PC and consoles.


Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the company’s technological vision and ensure alignment with our business goals.
  • Lead the engineering team, overseeing the development and optimization of game systems and mechanics using Unreal Engine.
  • Spearhead the adoption of advanced technologies and development methodologies to maintain and enhance our competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to integrate technology solutions that improve game design, art production, and other aspects of game development.
  • Ensure the stability and scalability of game architecture and underlying systems.
  • Manage technical aspects of the game development pipeline including systems design, performance optimization and quality assurance.
  • Guide the professional development and growth of the technology team, nurturing a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in game development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive experience with Unreal Engine, proficient in both C++ and Blueprints.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful management of large-scale game projects from concept to release.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing and inspiring teams to achieve excellence.
  • Work with version control systems like Perforce and Git to manage code and collaborate effectively with the team.
  • Deep understanding of the technical challenges and solutions in game development for PC and consoles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
  • Passionate gamer with a solid understanding of game design and user experience principles.
