Informatica Developer Summary

Supports thefull life cycle of product development processes for creating newproducts and services; provides indepth knowledge of technicalproducts or families of technologies. Addresses complex businessand technical product integration issues.

Essential Job Functions

  • Establishes and enforces data warehousing standards atthe client site to meet client requirements and businessneeds.
  • Determines data warehousing strategy;selects tools and techniques including middleware data cleansingtools and/or data management systems to provide the solution todata and client issues and other matters of significance and tomeet business needs.
  • Conducts research intonew data warehouse applications and determines viability foradoption.
  • Evaluates existing subject areasstored in the data warehouse and determines where data should bestored.
  • Assists in several components of theoverall architecture of the data warehouse system.
  • Documents tasks for enduser technical and managerialreview to ensure high quality customer service.
  • Provides descriptive analyses of customer product andmarket trends and identifies and resolves data issues.
  • Performs quality assurance testing of data integrationand report development. Monitors data load operations to ensureaccuracy.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in computer science mathematics orrelated field preferred
  • Five years ofexperience in Informatica Power Center 10.x Power Exchange10.x
  • Design develop and maintainrobust Informatica PowerCenter mappings and workflows that processhuge volumes of data across multiple platforms.
  • Solid experience with performance tuning of Informaticaprocesses in partitioned database environment.
  • Advanced SQL UNIX Shell Scripting skills andability to write complex Stored Procedures.
  • Strong knowledge and Handson experience in complex datatransformations dealing with large volume of data.
  • Experience working with COBOL/mainframe file structuresusing Power Exchange
  • Design and develop DB2Procedures and UNIX Shell Scripts for Data Import/Export DataConversions Performancetuning and work on migration of databasejobs in between different environments.
