Mainframe Developer

Candidates are expected to work on Hybrid mode from Mahindra City office - Chengalpattu.

Role & responsibilities

• Hands on experience in mainframe development background in design, analysis and coding: Mainframe, COBOL (IMS), JCL, CA7, DB2 and/or SQL real-time and batch processing.
• 1+ years experience implementing z/OS connect, SFTP, SOAP and REST APIs, and other methods for system-to-system communication and data exchange
• Ability to design, develop and maintain Mainframe COBOL & JCL to meet support and/or project requirements
• Experience using source code management tools such as Endevor and GitHub
• Quick starter to troubleshoot/resolve incidents and business support items
• Ability to perform application support tasks: systems support, security/audit reviews, and maintenance tasks
• Excellent teamwork, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills are essential, ability to solve complex problems in a global environment
• Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize work based on business impact and urgency
• Unit and integration testing experience
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when solving unexpected problems Our preferred qualifications:
• Willingness to assist and troubleshoot current Mainframe environment, participating in production support/pager duty rotation, including weekend and off-hour support coverage
• Experience with CA Agile Central (Rally), backlogs, iterations, user stories, or similar Agile Tools
• Highly effective in working with other Mainframe Engineering and DBA technical specialists, Product Managers, and business partners
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage changing priorities
