Our team :

As a Data Engineer, you will join the CXO team. CXO stands for Customer experience Office.

We do a range of projects that are at the heart of our business. Enterprise architecture, digital transformation, internal applications and all business procedures and processes.

Every day our digital landscape evolves, changes with new needs and requirements that have to be challenged, perfected and implemented.

Everything is powered by our database architecture (object-oriented) and our independent communication layer (an Enterprise Service Bus).

The team consists of application managers, project managers, data analysts & engineers, developers, business & technical analysts with unique and international qualities.

Our goal?

To create better user experiences, efficiency and productivity gains and cost reductions.

The function :

- As a data engineer, you will make our data warehousing tools and business processes your own in order to turn data into insights. Our clients are all internal, from HR, commerce to finance. You analyze the requested query. You know if the data is already available or you know where to find the necessary data.

- You make sure that we work in the same way on modelling and the powering of the data warehouse. You will maintain and set up data systems and databases using the relevant data.

- You will be responsible for maintaining and creating KPIs, reports and dashboards for the business teams. In addition, you will work on a Data Quality improvement trajectory in order to continue to guarantee the quality of reporting. We work in KANBAN mode. For this, you will work with other data engineers and a data analyst.

The fulfillment of data requests, that's your responsibility.

Here are your responsibilities :

- You maintain and implement data systems and databases using relevant data, including the data warehouse data model, as well as technical documentation.

- You are responsible for all optimizations regarding the design, modelling and powering of the DWH, reporting and dashboards, the equipment landscape within the Ausy Group scope.

- You take responsibility for developing the model that will support the DWH in a proper and future-proof way.

- The resolution of all bugs and data queries, in line with the jobs and work load of the development/data teams.

- You develop and implement data analytics, data collection systems and other strategies to optimize data efficiency and quality.

Your qualities :

- You must have a thorough understanding of the above. Service Oriented Architecture, API-centric development, Master Data concepts are not unfamiliar to you.

- You have relevant experience in data analytics and/or data engineering.

- You have relevant experience in reporting and data visualization using PowerBI and/or Tableau.

- You are educated in Data Warehousing concepts.

- You have at least 2 years experience in the field of data modelling (Datavault, Kimball).

- You have experience with management tools, versions like Git (bitbucket, gitlab or other).

- You know how to program in Python and you have an extensive expertise in SQL.

- If you already have some experience with BigQuery, that's an advantage.

- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or others is necessary.

- You are analytical but also creative and pragmatic.

- You are broad-minded but work as a specialist. You keep the planning overview by creating native Jira reports on all possible dimensions to improve the efficiency of our teams and their progress.

- You are communicative, proactive and assertive, not afraid of hierarchy, and you have no problem challenging the various stakeholders.

- You are fluent in English (remember it's an international team).

- To fit in with the team, you have your own sense of humor and character, and you will simply be yourself

Key skills :

- Software engineering skills - 2-3 years exp

- Python + microservices

- GCP skills - at least 1 year - Cloud Run, Dataflow, VertexAI
