Als Data Expert zul je:
  • Deel uitmaken van het Scrum Team binnen de afdeling Data, Innovatie & Analyse (DIA), specifiek in het Disco en Flok team.
  • Werken aan het visualiseren van passagiersreizen en een cruciale rol spelen in verschillende dataketens over verschillende clusters zoals Commerce, Operations, Equipment, Stations en Staff.
  • Bijdragen aan het bouwen van een datafundament in de nieuwe Microsoft Azure-cloudomgeving, waarbij alle gegevensbronnen beschikbaar worden gesteld voor operationele modellen, dashboards, analyses en andere informatieproducten.
  • Samenwerken met collega's binnen jouw team, de afdeling en het bedrijf, waarbij je een sleutelrol vervult in het bouw- en leveringsproces van informatieproducten van ontwikkeling tot productie.
  • Oplossingen bieden en verbeteringen garanderen, gezamenlijk verantwoordelijkheid nemen voor sprintresultaten en je teamgenoten ondersteunen bij het zelforganiserend worden.
  • Disciplines buiten jouw expertisegebied behandelen, ondersteuning bieden aan andere teamleden.
  • Feedback geven en ontvangen, dit zien als een kans om te groeien.
  • Richten op resultaten en kwaliteit, de kwaliteit en stabiliteit van het product waarborgen door verbeteringsvoorstellen te leveren en te helpen deze te realiseren.
Wat breng jij mee:
  • Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring als Data Engineer in een ETL-BI/DWH-omgeving.
  • Minimaal een afgeronde HBO- of WO-opleiding.
  • Kennis van datamethoden zoals ADLS en Snowflake.
  • Kennis van gegevensbeheer, gegevensintegratie, implementatieautomatisering (CI/CD) en versiebeheer in GIT.
  • Degelijke kennis van SQL (bij voorkeur T-SQL).
  • Kennis van en ervaring met ETL-tools.
  • Ervaring met het uitvoeren van bronanalyses.
  • Ervaring met gegevensmodellering: object-, conceptueel en dimensionaal datamodel.
  • Ervaring met Data Vault (bij voorkeur Data Vault 2.0).
  • Kennis van en ervaring met Scrum en DevOps.
  • Goede communicatieve vaardigheden en een goede beheersing van de Nederlandse taal, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.
  • Basiskennis van wetten en voorschriften, zoals de GDPR (Data Compliancy), is een voordeel.
  • Kennis van Git en Azure DevOps is een voordeel.

  • Je moet de vaardigheid hebben om:
  • Nieuwe gegevensbronnen te ontsluiten met behulp van NiFi en/of ADF (gestructureerde en ongestructureerde gegevens).
  • Een effectief Data Warehouse (DWH) te ontwerpen en implementeren met gegevenspijplijnen van bron tot eindgebruiker.
  • Robuust ontworpen code te ontwikkelen met relevante verwerkings- en gegevenskwaliteitscontroles.
  • Oplossingen effectief te implementeren, testen en documenteren.
  • Te werken onder deadlines en tijdsdruk, met flexibiliteit en vindingrijkheid.
  • Effectief te communiceren en een echte teamspeler te zijn in een samenwerkingsomgeving.

As a Data Expert, you will: Be part of the Scrum Team within the Data, Innovation & Analysis (DIA) department, specifically in the Disco and Flok team. Work on visualizing passenger journeys and play a crucial role in various data chains across different clusters such as Commerce, Operations, Equipment, Stations, and Staff. Contribute to building a data foundation in the new Microsoft Azure cloud environment, making all data sources available for operating models, dashboards, analyses, and other information products. Collaborate with colleagues within your team, the department, and the business, being a key link in the construction and delivery process of information products from development to production. Offer solutions and ensure improvements, taking shared responsibility for sprint results and supporting your teammates in becoming self-organized. Handle disciplines outside your area of expertise, providing support to other team members. Give and receive feedback, viewing it as an opportunity to grow. Focus on results and quality, ensuring the quality and stability of the product by providing improvement proposals and helping to realize them. What You Bring to the Table: At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer in an ETL-BI/DWH environment. At least a completed HBO or WO education. Knowledge of data storage methods such as ADLS and Snowflake. Knowledge of data management, data integration, deployment automation (CI/CD), and version management in GIT. Solid knowledge of SQL (preferably T-SQL). Knowledge of and experience with ETL tools. Experience with conducting source analyses. Experience with data modeling: object, conceptual, and dimensional data model. Experience with Data Vault (preferably Data Vault 2.0). Knowledge of and experience with Scrum and DevOps. Good communication skills and a good command of the Dutch language, both oral and written. Basic knowledge of laws and regulations, such as GDPR (Data Compliancy), is an advantage. Knowledge of Git and Azure DevOps is an advantage. You should possess the ability to: Unlock new data sources using NiFi and/or ADF (structured and unstructured data). Design and implement an effective Data Warehouse (DWH) with data pipelines from source to end user. Develop robustly designed code with relevant processing and data quality controls. Implement, test, and document solutions effectively. Work under deadlines and time pressure, showing flexibility and quick-wittedness. Communicate effectively and be a real team player in a collaborative environment.
