As Software Engineer II in Asset and Wealth management in in Mumbai / Bengaluru, who will be an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted automation solutions for the AWM Production & Infrastructure space in a secure, stable, and scalable way. The engineer is expected to act as a core technical contributor by owning technology solutions across multiple technical domains in support of the firm’s business objectives as well as provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers.

Job responsibilities

Producing architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Executing software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting in order to build solutions or break down technical problems. Creating secure and high-quality production code. Proactively identifying hidden problems, patterns in data, and using these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture. Contributing to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies. Ensuring successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Experience in Java, SpringBoot, JavaScript, and React Converse fluently in the full web technology stack Experience in Cloud/AWS
