Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Senior ETL QA Engineer

to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in validating complex ETL pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, and optimizing performance. You will collaborate closely with development, data engineering, and business intelligence teams to ensure high-quality data pipelines and warehouse solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

·

Validate and test ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading, for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.·

Develop and execute complex SQL queries to verify data integrity and support ETL processes.·

Perform testing of ETL pipelines under varying loads to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.·

Design and implement automated testing frameworks and scripts for ETL pipelines using tools like Selenium, Python, or custom solutions.·

Perform data profiling, sampling, and reconciliation to ensure data quality across large datasets.·

Validate data against data warehouse concepts, including star schema, snowflake schema, and fact/dimension tables.·

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure ETL pipelines meet business and technical requirements.·

Conduct stress testing using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or custom scripts to analyze pipeline performance under heavy loads.·

Use BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView to support data visualization and reporting.·

Work with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Git for managing ETL testing processes and deployments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

7+ years of QA experience, with a strong focus on testing ETL processes.·

Expertise in ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Ab Initio, or DataStage.·

Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.·

Strong understanding of RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.·

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including star and snowflake schema designs.·

Experience in data validation frameworks like QuerySurge, DVT (Data Validation Testing), or TestNG.·

Exposure to Big Data frameworks such as Hadoop and Azure Data Lake.·

Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse for ETL processes.·

Hands-on experience in stress testing ETL pipelines with tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.·

Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest, JUnit, or custom frameworks for ETL processes.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Hands-on experience with BI tools for reporting and visualization.·

Knowledge of automation frameworks for data testing, such as Selenium or Python-based scripts.·

Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.·

Exposure to agile development practices and working in cross-functional teams.
