This is a full-time remote position, specifically for engineers based in India . You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising backend systems that power Zendr’s financial infrastructure. If you are passionate about scalable architecture, high-performance APIs, and fintech innovations, we’d love to hear from youKey Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Node.js and Express.js .- Build and optimise RESTful APIs for high-performance transaction processing.- Implement security best practices, including encryption, authentication, and authorization .- Work with databases such as  PostgreSQL to manage financial data efficiently.- Optimize system performance, ensuring low-latency and high availability .- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences.- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.- Implement automated testing (unit, integration) and participate in code reviews.- Monitor and troubleshoot issues in production environments.- Stay updated with industry trends, especially in fintech and payment technologies .Must-Have Requirements:- 1.5 + year of hands-on experience in backend development with Node.js and Express.js .- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and API security .- Practical understanding of designing scalable backend systems- Experience working with Prisma for database interaction, migrations, and query optimisation.- Experience working with databases ( PostgreSQL ).- Proficiency in asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and real-time data processing .- Solid understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, or OpenID.- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms for backend deployment and scalability.- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and optimisation skills.- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Prisma ORM, database design for relational systems, and managing migrations (including indexing strategies, constraints, and transaction handling.).- Excellent communication skills.Nice-to-Have Skills:- Knowledge of WebSockets for real-time applications.- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.- Experience in dashboard development and web portals- Previous experience in a startup environment with a hands-on approach.Why Join Zendr?- Fully remote work with a flexible schedule.- Career growth- Opportunity to work on a high-impact product .- Work with a fast-moving, innovative team .- Career growth opportunities as we scale.How to Apply:If you are excited about building scalable product, apply now by sending your CV and GitHub/portfolio to with the subject line "Backend Engineer Application - India" .
