About the Role: As a key member of our North America IT Financial Compliance team, you will actively contribute to the IT financial control compliance process in Canada. You will also play a critical role in implementing the IT Financial Controls framework for our activities in the US Team and facilitate external audit activities.
The Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Execution: Collaborate with the ITGC Controls team to execute fieldwork and ensure ITGC validation testing is compliant with SOX/NI52-109 and industry standards.
US Framework Implementation: Assist in implementing the new IT Financial Controls framework for our operations in the US, ensuring compliance and robust control measures.
Automation Opportunities: Identify and implement opportunities for Data analytics and automation in financial processes and controls.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in the review and ongoing enhancement of IT General Controls (ITGC).
Expert Collaboration: Collaborate and provide IT expertise on special projects.
Adaptive Controls: Ensure IT internal controls are aligned with business needs and evolve with available technologies.
Strategic Planning: Assist in planning and executing the strategy related to ITGC certification.
Remediation Support: Guide IT teams in identifying and selecting solutions for remediating deficiencies.
Follow-Up: Monitor the resolution of deficiencies and track progress on activities related to ITGC certification.
Clear Communication: Ensure expectations and requests are clear, concise, and easy to understand for small IT teams in the US.
Your Skills and Experience:
Deep ITGC Knowledge: Extensive understanding of IT General Controls (ITGC).
Relevant Experience: 4 to 5 years of in a Big Four (4) external or internal audit environment
Teamwork Excellence: Outstanding teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in planning and execution.
