This role often requires managing and mentoring junior staff and having advanced skills in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.  Key responsibilities Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and summarize financial statements, reports, and analyses, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, review journal entries, and perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, such as GAAP, and tax regulations. Auditing: Support internal and external audits, and help establish and maintain internal controls. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning. Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor junior accounting staff. Process Improvement: Help improve accounting processes and procedures.  Required skills and qualifications Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is typically required. A master's degree or CPA certification is often preferred. Experience: Several years of accounting experience are necessary. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including functions like VLOOKUPs and pivot tables. Strong knowledge of financial accounting statements. Soft Skills: Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  Requirements Work experience as an Accountant. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
